Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA)

EAP incorporates horses experientially for emotional growth and learning. It is a collaborative effort between a horse, a horse professional.and a licensed therapist working together with clients to provide mental health treatment. EAP is experiential in nature. Clients learn about themselves by participating in activities with horses and then processing feelings, behaviors and patterns.

The EAGALA Model is a team approach involving a horse, an Equine Specialist and a licensed therapist. All work is on the ground and is solution based. Clients discover the best solutions for themselves. The are allowed to experiment, problem solve, take risks, employ creativity and find their own solutions.

All therapy adheres to a code of ethics and a high standard of professionalism.
